Sutton & Sons is owned and run by Danny Sutton. Danny started out over 15 years ago by opening a fishmongers shop in Stoke Newington High Street, N16. Many happy customers later, opening a fish restaurant across the road was the natural next step. After leasing it out for a few years, the restaurant is now back with Danny, with day to day management in the capable hands of experienced chef/manager Glyn Rees.
Sutton & Sons offers much more than most other fish restaurants. To start with, all our fish naturally comes from our fish shop, The Fishery. This means it’s ultra-fresh and sustainably sourced.
Fish and chips and much, much more
Glyn and his team pay a lot more attention to preparation and cooking than most other fish restaurants. No stodgy batter and limp greasy chips with us. Instead, you can enjoy the finest traditional deep fried fish made using our own beer batter, along with hand-cut chunky chips, eat-in or takeaway.
Alternatively, how about sitting down to a nice sea bass, red snapper or mackerel, char-grilled and served with a seasonal salad? Or enjoy tempura prawns, whitebait or calamari, served with a cold beer or bottle of fine wine from our extensive list.
You can even have a wide choice of fish dishes delivered to your door – we were the first fish restaurant in North London to offer fish delivery.
